My Cat Angel

Dad and I had just pulled into the driveway. The snowbanks were high and
icicles were hanging from the rooftop. We climbed out of his big,
cozy purple truck and tread through the snow towards the tank-room
door. We opened the snow-covered door and walked inside, it was
freezing. Then after dodging the many boxes we made it to the house
door. As dad opened it, a small orange and white cat ran out.

“Mommy!! Who's kitty is that? what is it doing in our house?” I shouted as dad chased after the cat and grabbed it.“She's our cat, her name is Angel.” My face lit right up with excitement and joy, I had only had one other cat and she had ran away.

Angel was not allowed outside, but that was only for her own safety, because she didn't have front claws. Though she was not allowed, outside she still tried to escape. One day she did get outside, but we didn't realize. My mom just simply glanced out the window and saw
a cat.
“Hey
who's cat is that? Its really pretty.” said my mom

Thats our cat Smart One.” said Scott my stepdad.

My mom felt pretty stupid that she didn't even know that, that was her own cat. Angel loved to lay in windows or sunlight. She would just lay there all day long and watch the cars and people go by. But one day she got to caught up in laying in the window. She was just laying there when the screen fell out and so did she. Angel was so startled she didn't know what to think. One minute she was laying in the window enjoying a nice nap and the next she was outside on the ground. I think after that incident she took
laying in the windows a little more carefully.

One day Angel was laying on the floor enjoying a nice nap. When suddenly Bailey my yellow lab came charging out of nowhere and started curiously sniffing Angel's beautiful glossy fur. Angel did not like this one bit! She jumped up and hissed at Bailey. Bailey, frightened bounced back scarred out of her mind. The sad thing is Angel was not even half the size of Bailey and for her to be scarred of that little
cat, what a wimp I thought to myself.

Angel was a very loving, beautiful, kind, smart, caring, loyal cat. She was a great companion, especially when I was upset. If I was crying she would come into my room, climb up on my bed and comfort me. She didn't like it when I cried. Neither did she like it when I didn't stop crying. She really did help comfort me just seeing her smile at me or even just rubbing up against my arm made me feel better. She was my favorite cat in the entire universe, she was my best friend. She slept with me almost every night, and got really upset whenever I went to a sleepover. Whenever I was gone for a night or more she would still try to sleep in my room until I got home because she missed me so. But after a while like five years or more I had to keep her out of my room, because she just got out of control. She was starting to get kind of snappy and she got hair everywhere, also she threw up almost all the time. She got up in my face a lot and got really annoying. I feel bad keeping her out of my room but things got to the point that I could no longer sleep with her in my room because
she would wake me up in the night.

When my parents first got Angel they had gotten her from a veterinary office. She was there because an older women had her and had to go to a nursing home where she could no longer take care of her. The people had told my mom they didn't know how old Angel was but they didn't think she was very old. My mom believes that they were wrong, because Angel got Feline Leukemia and died. Angel died on Sunday
November 12th. I will always remember her she was a wonderful cat. Rest in peace Angel.
